Vitória B and Trofense drew nil-nil in a game marked by fighting spirit and few clear goal-scoring opportunities. In the first half, Vitória B were the more incisive team, imposing a higher tempo and variety to their play, but came up against a well-organized and patient Trofense defence that knew how to manage the most difficult moments. The best chance for the home side came in the 38th minute, with a dangerous shot from Mathias Tepe.
Trofense, without a single on-target shot for practically the entire game, grew into the second half. In the 84th minute, Kiki Silva broke away at speed and shot over the bar, the best chance for the visiting team. In stoppage time, at 90+1 minutes, the ball did cross the goal line of Gui Cardoso, but the referee ruled it out immediately, with no one on the pitch contesting the decision.
The goalless draw did not change the position of either team in the table. Vitória B, coached by Gil Lameiras, remain in 5th place in Series A, with 5 points, obtained through one win, two draws and one defeat in the first four matchdays. Trofense remain in 8th place.
The home side have only one more commitment in September: a trip to Marco 09's ground, for matchday 5, scheduled for the 12th at 4 PM.
