At least 22 dead in bus accident on Cape Verde island of Fogo

At least 22 people died in a bus accident on the Cape Verdean island of Fogo. The vehicle was carrying students on a school trip when it left the road and fell from a height of approximately 30 meters.

The accident occurred in the locality of Campanas de Cima. Authorities have not yet released information about possible survivors or injured.

The causes of the accident are still being investigated. This is one of the worst road accidents recorded in Cape Verde.
