Three more stewards to help fight the 'storms'

The Feast in Honor of Lord Jesus of the Navigators now has three more stewards to help fight the 'storms'. The event is celebrating its four-day edition, with tomorrow being the last day of festivities.

The brotherhood responsible for the organization describes the feast as "a feast of all and for all". The president of the brotherhood highlighted that the event is much more than "who holds the helm", stating that it is "an entire crew" involved in carrying out the celebrations.

SOUND GARDENS RETURN TO VILA REAL WITH FOUR MUSIC SESSIONS

The Sound Gardens cycle returns to Vila Real during the month of September with four music sessions and DJ sets in different green spaces across the city. The programme kicks off on September 6th at the Jardim do Auditório do Tribunal de Vila Real with Vaiapraia and Panic & Edmónius, followed by Femme Falafel and Puto e Pico on the 13th. For the last two dates, the initiative reaches a new space, with Leonor Arnaut and Angela Louve on the 20th and Filipe Sambado and Becapega closing the cycle on the 27th. Promoted by Club de Vila Real in partnership with the Municipality, the event has free admission and aims to bring music to various outdoor spaces across the city.

Thousands of Freddie Mercury fans celebrate in Montreux on what would have been his 80th birthday

The city of Montreux, in Switzerland, was the scene of a celebration dedicated to Freddie Mercury on Saturday, the date on which the legendary Queen singer would have turned 80. Santarém Cathedral is in the National Final of the 7 Wonders of Portugal

The Sé Catedral de Santarém secured a place in the finals of the 7 Wonders of Popular Culture, with the Municipality expressing pride in the achievement. The cathedral, which began as the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição do Colégio dos Jesuítas, began construction in the 1620s, according to a design by architect Mateus do Couto.
