For several weeks, many French fans of the popular Dragon Ball franchise were excited about the announcement of the inauguration of a theme park based on the Japanese manga in Paris. However, the rights holders of the production denied having given the go-ahead for the venture in France.
The confusion seems to have originated from a series of publications and premature conclusions, after French President Emmanuel Macron announced the construction of a new amusement park, but without mentioning what the theme would be.
On August 24, Macron and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman jointly announced the construction of three theme parks in Cergy-Pontoise, 35 kilometers northwest of Paris, representing an investment of €6 billion.
