The president of the United States, Donald Trump, described as "sad" what is happening in Ceuta on Sunday, referring to the massive entry of migrants into the Spanish city last July.
Trump stated that Spain is a country with "zero control" of its borders, thus criticizing Spanish management of the migratory situation in the autonomous city located in North Africa.
The American president's statement comes in the context of the migratory crisis that Ceuta faced in July, when thousands of people tried to cross the border into Spanish territory.
This is not the first time Trump has commented on migratory issues in European territory, maintaining a known position on border controls and immigration.
