Calvin Harris performs at Rock in Rio this Sunday (6/9), and there is a curious chapter in his career linked to two major pop stars: Taylor Swift and Rihanna. In 2016, when Harris and Swift were still dating, the two wrote together "This Is What You Came For," a hit released by the DJ with Rihanna on vocals.
Taylor Swift's participation in the composition was credited under a pseudonym and was only revealed months after the release. The singer's real identity only came to light when she herself decided to reveal it publicly.
In April 2016, while receiving an award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Taylor Swift referred to her then-boyfriend by his birth name, Adam, revealing to much of the public that Calvin Harris was actually Adam Richard Wiles.
The case shows how Taylor preferred to keep her contribution anonymous, while Calvin Harris received sole credit for the authorship of the song with Rihanna, which became one of the biggest hits of the time.
