The history between Gilberto Gil and Rock In Rio is long. The Bahian singer was an act at the first edition of the festival, 41 years ago, and rushed from the stage straight to the maternity hospital where his wife, Flora Gil, gave birth to Bem Gil on January 13, 1985. Now, Gil returns to the festival as the second-to-last act on the Mundo Stage on Monday, the 7th.

Gil won't come alone this edition. The Gil family will already be represented this Sunday by grandchildren, son and daughter-in-law. Bento Gil, Bem Gil's oldest son, performs on the Global Village stage around 3pm.

The 22-year-old young singer makes his debut at the festival right after releasing his first album, "Silêncio Azul," in May this year. Bento is described as a sports fan and entered Journalism college dreaming of sports coverage, but ended up choosing a musical career.
