The municipality of Castell de Cabres, in the province of Castellón, celebrated this weekend the festivals of Sant Llorenç, demonstrating that thousands of inhabitants are not needed to celebrate with great enthusiasm. This town is the smallest municipality in the entire province of Castellón.
According to the most recent data from the National Statistics Institute, Castell de Cabres has only 21 registered neighbors, making it one of the smallest settlements in the entire region.
However, despite the small number of official residents, about a hundred people gathered this Saturday to share table and tablecloth during the festivities, showing the strong bond that unites the inhabitants and former residents to their land.
The event contrasts with the idea that large populations are needed to hold significant festivals, proving that tradition and community celebration can flourish even in the smallest communities.
