Volkswagen announced it will begin selling in Brazil, starting in October, its first fully electric car, marking the beginning of the brand's electrification strategy in the country. The model is the mid-size SUV ID.4 Pro 2027, which will be sold for the value of R$ 299,999.00.
The vehicle was previously only available in Brazil through the monthly subscription plan of Volkswagen's Sign&Drive program, however all units had sold out. The ID.4 is built on the modular electric MEB platform, developed exclusively by the German automaker for electric vehicles.
Ciro Possobom, CEO of Volkswagen do Brasil, stated that the arrival of the ID.4 represents a historic moment for the company in the country, representing an important step in the electrification strategy by offering the Brazilian consumer a vehicle that combines the tradition of German engineering with the most modern technologies in electric mobility.
