A bather disappeared in the waters of the Tagus River at the river beach of Valada, in the municipality of Cartaxo. Firefighters are carrying out search operations to locate the missing person.
The alert was given by friends who were with the bather at the time of the incident. A Civil Protection source confirmed that the alert was received at 6:31 PM.
So far, the authorities have not been able to determine the exact circumstances that led to the disappearance of the bather in the waters of the Tagus.
