PF delegates react and ask that Gonet recuse himself

oglobo5 September 2026 at 19:40

Federal Police delegates reacted to the announcement that the attorney general, Paulo Gonet, opened an investigation into possible external interference in the production of the PF report that pointed out the relationship between Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF, and businessman Daniel Vorcaro. The delegates asked that Gonet recuse himself from conducting the case.

Last night, Gonet informed the president of the STF, Edson Fachin, in response to a request for clarification made by him, that he had initiated the investigation into a possible occurrence of order or external interference in the preparation of the police report.

The report in question not only cited the relationship between Moraes and Vorcaro, but also included the attorney general himself, Paulo Gonet, and the director-general of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues, among the people related to the case.
