The Food and Economic Safety Authority (ASAE) seized 20,226 liters of wine from a producer-wholesaler in the municipality of Gouveia, in the district of Guarda. The inspection operation took place within the framework of the action called "Rótulo Seguro", which aimed to control the wine sector.
The seized products included red, white and rosé wine, already bottled and prepared to be placed on the market. ASAE identified irregularities in the labeling of the wines, the reason that motivated the seizure.
This action is part of a broader operation to combat irregular practices in the production and commercialization of wine, a sector of great economic importance for the Gouveia region, known for wine production. ASAE continues to carry out inspection operations to ensure that the food products commercialized comply with the legislation in force.
