More than 150 personnel are fighting a wildfire in Serra d'Ossa, in the municipality of Estremoz, in the district of Évora. The fire is affecting an area of scrubland and pine forest in the region.

The information was confirmed to the Portuguese news agency by Civil Protection. The alert for the fire was given at 19:40.

According to data provided by the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection on its website, at around 20:55, the fire was being fought by 156 personnel, supported by 51 vehicles.

The Sub-Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of Central Alentejo is coordinating the firefighting operations in this area of inland Alentejo.
