The Republican National Guard (GNR) carried out, between August 28 and September 3, operations to prevent and combat criminality and road accidents across the entire national territory. During this period, the authorities detained a total of 564 people.

The detentions were mainly due to driving under the influence of alcohol, with 229 cases recorded, followed by driving without a legal license with 124 detentions and drug trafficking with 61 cases. These were the main reasons for the detentions made by the GNR during the operation.
