A 10-year-old child sustained serious injuries in a collision between two light vehicles in Rio Maior, in the district of Santarém. The accident occurred on a local road and involved the two cars.
Due to the severity of the injuries, the child required specialised medical care. She was airlifted to Hospital Santa Maria, in Lisbon, where she received treatment.
The relevant authorities were alerted to the scene of the accident and are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision between the two light vehicles.
