Three men were arrested after attempting to flee using a Military Police patrol car during an incident in the early morning of this Saturday, on Estrada dos Bandeirantes, in Vargem Grande, in the Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
According to the Military Police, officers from the Environmental Police Command (CPAm) operating in the area came across a confrontation between criminals. The agents took shelter until the shooting stopped, when a patrol car used by the team was hit by a vehicle occupied by criminals who attempted to use the police car to flee.
Two of the suspects were shot during the action and remain hospitalized under police custody at Hospital Municipal Lourenço Jorge. The three suspects were intercepted and arrested.
The incident was reported at the 42nd Police Station (Recreio dos Bandeirantes).
