João Victor Gonçalves, known as Mau Mau, actor from the series "Quem Ama Cuida", suffered a homophobic attack last Saturday, the 4th, around 10 PM, while arriving at Rock in Rio. The artist said he was targeted by laughter and offensive comments made by streamer GH Reel RJ and two other men, who mocked the outfit he was wearing.
Mau Mau said that, during the attack, he felt very cornered and was only thinking about his safety, wanting to speed up his pace to escape the situation. He revealed he didn't know what the next move of those men would be and that he only managed to understand it was a homophobic aggression when he got home.
The emotional actor declared that he will not let the case go unnoticed. He stated that it is very painful to know he suffered an aggression like this and to see himself vulnerable in front of all of Brazil, but guaranteed that he is okay. Mau Mau defended that all people deserve respect and the right to simply live.
