Player Andreia Norton returned to the list of call-ups for the Benfica women's team more than a year after suffering an injury that kept her off the pitch. The Portuguese international had already accumulated minutes during the pre-season preparation games, now approaching her official debut in the competitive season.
Norton's return comes at the right time for the red-and-white team, which is preparing to decide the first official trophy of the season. Coach Ivan Baptista announced a list of 20 selected players for the Women's Super Cup final against Porto, a match taking place in Viseu.
On the other hand, experienced Ana Borges continues her physical recovery process and is not included in this squad call-up, nor is Lara Martins. Flourish Sabastine, one of the club's most recent signings, was also not called up for this match due to availability issues.
Conversely, the new signings Anna Csiki, Blessing Demehin, Froya Dorsin, Ziqin Shao and Tinkara Testen were all included in the list of chosen players for the decisive showdown.
