ASAE seizes over 20 thousand liters of wine in Gouveia

The Authority for Food and Economic Safety (ASAE) carried out an inspection operation at a producer-warehouse in the municipality of Gouveia, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of wine. The operation, designated "Rótulo Seguro" (Safe Label), led to the seizure of 20,226 liters of bottled wine, including red, white and rosé wine, which was ready to be introduced into the market. ASAE justifies the seizure due to violation of the labeling rules applicable to wine products. This action falls within the scope of ASAE's competencies in matters of food and economic safety.
