Postal do Algarve5 September 2026 at 15:37

The Fortress of Sagres hosts three free sunset concerts during the month of September, on the 13th, 20th and 27th. The program was organized in partnership with ArQuente Associação Cultural and includes performances by Jhon Douglas, Serena Kaos and Gorjão.

The cycle begins on September 13th, at 6pm, with Jhon Douglas, an artist born in the Brazilian Amazon who developed an independent and self-taught path in music, visual arts and multimedia communication. Over more than a decade, this artist has built a body of work marked by experimentation and dialogue between different forms of artistic expression.

Jhon Douglas's performance will take place against the backdrop of the promontory and the cultural heritage of the monument, seeking to establish a relationship between contemporary sounds, musical traditions and the surrounding landscape. The organization intends that the cycle contributes to showcasing the tangible and intangible heritage associated with the Fortress of Sagres, also creating a meeting space between artists and the public.

Participation in all three concerts is free, but requires mandatory registration through the email address [email protected].
