A fire broke out on wasteland at the Achada area, in the Porto da Cruz zone, in Madeira. The fire consumed vegetation in the area served by the Machico Firefighters.
The fire was fought by firefighters from the Machico corporation, who acted on the wasteland to control the flames.
The scrubland fire was reported as extinguished, with no indication of injuries or significant damage reported so far.
