Rádio Campanário5 September 2026 at 15:24

The Nature and Environment Protection Service (SEPNA), integrated into the Territorial Detachment of Moura of the GNR, carried out an inspection operation at the Amoreira reservoir, located in the parish of Pias, in the municipality of Serpa, between September 1 and 3. The action was developed by the Territorial Command of Beja of the Republican National Guard.

The objective of the inspection was to verify compliance with the legal norms regarding the use of the reservoir, namely with regard to navigation and fishing practice. During the three days of operation, the authorities registered a total of five fine reports.

Among the infractions detected, one report was issued for operating a vessel without a recreational navigator's license, which constitutes a violation of the rules applicable to the handling of vessels. Additionally, four fine reports were registered for fishing in prohibited areas, in an intervention that sought to ensure the protection of fishery resources and natural spaces.

According to the GNR, this type of action aims not only to inspect compliance with legislation, but also to contribute to the protection of natural resources and to a safe and responsible use of spaces and water resources. SEPNA maintains regular intervention in the area of nature and environment protection, combining inspection with prevention and awareness actions among the populations and users of natural spaces.

Tenant discovers she was being filmed by the landlord: case went to court and he was ordered to pay a fine of €6,000

A tenant in Spain discovered that the landlord had installed four video surveillance cameras inside a house rented by rooms, filming spaces such as the kitchen, the entrance, the stairs, and the water heater area. The woman filed a complaint with the Spanish Agency for Data Protection (AEPD) after receiving SMS messages from two people who described what they observed through the cameras. Although the owner argued that tenants were aware of the surveillance through a clause in the contract, AEPD considered that this does not legitimize data processing, classifying the conduct as serious negligence. The landlord was ordered to pay a fine of €6,000 and forced to uninstall the entire surveillance system. The article also analyzes how a similar case would be handled in Portugal by the National Commission for Data Protection.
