Amid the escalation of the crisis at the Supreme Federal Court, Minister André Mendonça published a video on Friday (4) thanking the prayer and affection messages received. He states that prayers to God have been fundamental to sustain him, as well as his entire family.
In the video, Mendonça praised God for the lives of people who have been showing gestures of generosity and solidarity toward him, and asked that God bless part of Brazilian society.
The minister ended up in the crosshairs of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, who requested an investigation against Mendonça to the president of the Supreme Court, within the scope of the fake news inquiry.
The controversy originated from Mendonça's decision to lift the secrecy on a Federal Police report that reveals conversations between banker Daniel Vorcaro and Alexandre de Moraes himself. Mendonça ended up taking and bringing the case to the presidency of the STF in response to the investigation requested by Moraes.
