Chef Katia Barbosa, now divides her routine between Sofia restaurant at Praça da Bandeira and the weekend lunch at Roxy in Copacabana. She created a special menu for the venue with recipes that bring flavors from Brazil and Rio de Janeiro, having the feijoada dumpling as her icon.
Katia Barbosa already has experience with live music venues, having prepared the feijoada at Rival on Saturdays, accompanied by samba. According to her, it was a different proposal, focused only on feijoada, which she considered very cool to make.
When Alexandre Accioly invited her to Roxy, she imagined the proposal would be the same: a feijoada with some samba rolling. However, Acciolly made it clear that he wanted a complete lunch, with people looking at Roxy as a Brazilian food restaurant.
The chef affirms that she sees Roxy as a Brazilian food restaurant for tourists, highlighting the intention to offer a complete gastronomic experience that combines Brazilian culinary tradition with the relaxed atmosphere of the venue.
