Marítimo Stadium Pitch: some shared photos are from 2021

SAPO Notícias5 September 2026 at 11:14

The condition of the pitch at the Marítimo Stadium, in Barreiros, is generating concern. Photographs began appearing on social media showing the alleged poor state of the stadium's green carpet.

However, the shared images are not recent. The identified problem is that the photographs circulating online about the pitch's condition are actually from 2021, being more than five years old.

Therefore, the claim about the current poor state of the field is not supported by the images that were shared, as these represent a previous situation and do not reflect the current state of the pitch at the Marítimo Stadium.
