The Government will reinforce this week the discount on fuels through ISP by about three cents per liter. This measure applies to both diesel and gasoline, covering the main types of fuel used by consumers.
With this reinforcement, the total discount rises to 23 cents per liter. This value represents a significant increase compared to the previously applicable discount, which was lower.
The measure comes in the context of supporting consumers given the high fuel prices. The Government uses the ISP mechanism as a fiscal policy instrument to reduce the cost of fuels at the pump.
The reinforcement of the discount will be implemented during this week, with the Government intending to mitigate the impact of fuel prices on household economy and inflation.
