US gives green light to the sale of glide bombs to Saudi Arabia amid the war with Iran

The United States Department of State approved on Friday the sale of glide bombs to Saudi Arabia for a value of approximately 5 billion dollars, around 4.3 billion euros.

The sale was authorized with the stated aim of strengthening the security of an important ally of the United States against instability in the region.

The context of this approval is related to the war that Saudi Arabia maintains against Iran, at a time of heightened tension in the Middle East.
