On the weekend of September 12 and 13, Praia do Carvoeiro, in the municipality of Lagoa, hosts the final of the National Futevólei Championship, bringing together some of the best national pairs in the sport in the men's and women's categories. The competition is organized by the National Futevólei Federation, with support from the Municipality of Lagoa and the Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro.
Over the two days, the main national athletes will compete for the titles after the different stages of the championship. On September 12, the matches take place between 09:00 and 20:00, while on September 13 the competition runs between 10:00 and 18:00, when the national champions will be decided.
The organizers state that the event aims to provide the public with a sporting spectacle marked by competitiveness and excitement, while simultaneously strengthening the profile of futevólei as a beach sport.
The final will also have television coverage, with broadcasts planned on A Bola TV and RTP2 channels, thus bringing the national title deciders to a wider audience.
