Tim McIlrath, vocalist of the American band Rise Against, revealed during his performance at Rock in Rio on Friday night (4th) that all of the band's equipment disappeared and didn't arrive in Rio in time for the show at the festival. The singer took the stage and told the audience about the problem they faced hours before the performance.
According to McIlrath, the problem was solved by the Rock in Rio organization itself, which loaned new instruments to the band. He thanked the festival and the other bands who showed solidarity with the situation and managed to get Rise Against on stage with equipment they had never used before.
During the show, the vocalist didn't stop talking to the audience and used one of these conversations to comment on the disappearance of the equipment. McIlrath stated that, since the band's show depends on instruments, they were happy to be able to perform even with unfamiliar equipment.
