Maritime Authority Records 22 Dead in Four Months of Beach Season

The National Maritime Authority recorded 22 deaths on Portuguese beaches during the four months of the beach season, according to a balance sheet released today.

The report also indicates that during this period, 1,285 rescues and 2,359 first aid actions were carried out on the beaches of Portugal.

The data was presented as part of the official beach season balance sheet, which covered the summer months dedicated to the recreational use of Portuguese beaches.
