PCP criticized the motion presented by Chega, considering that the party does not want to "feed the demagogic, lying and swindling agenda" of the far-right party. The communist leader made these statements at a press conference.
The party, however, keeps the voting direction open regarding the motion that will be voted on Tuesday. Paulo Agostinho did not specify how the communists will vote on the matter in question.
This position comes at a time of political tension, with PCP distinguishing itself from Chega's rhetoric, but without yet revealing its definitive position.
