Larissa Luz opened this Friday (4) the second show at the Supernova stage on the first day of Rock in Rio 2026, launching a parallel festival within the official programming dedicated to the work of Gilberto Gil. The show, called "Rock in Gil with Larissa Luz," celebrated the career of the 84-year-old Bahian singer and songwriter.
Gilberto Gil will be present as the main act at the Mundo Stage on Monday (7), but his work will be honored at various other moments throughout the event. The lineup includes performances by family members, such as grandchildren Bento Gil and Flor Gil, who perform at the Global Village stage on the 6th.
Os Gilsons, another family representative, perform at the Sunset Stage on the 12th, with appearances by Daniela Mercury and Olodum. Mãeana, Gil's daughter-in-law, will also be at the Global Village on the 6th, expanding the family's musical legacy at the festival.
With the 4 PM sun lighting up the Supernova stage, Larissa Luz sang Gilberto Gil's hits, including songs originally composed as rock, such as "Punk da periferia," among other rocks from the Bahian artist's repertoire.
