A 2022 court ruling annulled the decision made by Luís Neves that assigned operational utility to dozens of assets seized from Rúben Oliveira, known as Xuxas. This court decision deemed without effect the authorization for the Judicial Police to use these assets.
The PJ confirmed it continues to use the assets in question, including sofas, televisions and gym equipment, in several of its units. However, the police stated it is unaware whether it was ever informed of the court decision that annulled the assignment of operational utility to these assets.
Xuxa's defense announced it will request an audit to determine the current location of the assets and for what purposes they are effectively being used. The process is related to the seizure of Rúben Oliveira's assets, whose trial took place in court.
