President Lula lamented the postponement of the vote on the PEC that proposes the end of the 6x1 work schedule in the Senate plenary. The text was approved this week by the Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs, but has not yet been included on the Senate agenda.
In an interview with Progresso radio from Juazeiro do Norte, in Ceará, Lula said he doesn't know the reasons that led Senate President Davi Alcolumbre to postpone the analysis of the proposal. The president said Alcolumbre informed senators that the matter will be voted on as soon as the first round of elections is over.
Alcolumbre stated that he intends to put the PEC on the agenda after the elections, without indicating whether the vote will take place between the rounds or only after the second round. In addition to the 6x1 schedule, the Public Security PEC also remained pending analysis by the Senate plenary.
On social media, Lula highlighted that Congress approved three of the five matters that the government considered priorities. The issue of the 6x1 schedule has gained visibility in discussions about working conditions in the country.
