The British duo Nova Twins opened the Palco Mundo at Rock in Rio 2026 with an energetic show despite the small crowd. The presentation began around 4:40 PM, a time that usually sees low attendance at the festival, as the audience is still on their way to Cidade do Rock. The group formed by Amy Love, vocalist and guitarist, and Georgia South, bassist, showed charm during the show but had little space for audience interaction due to the short presentation time.
The musical difference of the two lies in the riffs that mix heaviness with a pop side, with melodies that entertain and at the same time reverberate a kind of new metal. The mix of alternative rock with elements of punk, rap, and electronic music seemed to please the audience that was already prepared for the Foo Fighters show.
Although founded in 2014, Nova Twins exploded in recent years, building a discography with only three albums, all released after 2020. The most recent album, "Parasites & Butterflies," is from 2025 and served as the basis for much of the show presented at the opening of Palco Mundo.
