Justice Minister admits delays at the IRN and predicts 'normality' by the end of the year

Justice Minister Rita Alarcão Júdice admitted the existence of delays at the Institute of Registries and Notary Services (IRN) during the reception ceremony for new registrars. The official acknowledged the difficulties the institute has been facing, but assured that work to recover pending cases is underway.

Rita Alarcão Júdice expressed her expectation that the situation would be normalized by the end of the year. This forecast comes in the context of ongoing efforts to reduce the backlog of pending cases and restore the regular functioning of services.

The reception ceremony for new registrars marked an important moment for the sector, symbolizing the continuity and reinforcement of human resources in registry services. The minister reiterated the commitment that the recovery work will continue.
