Mundicenter renews identity through Peter Schmidt Group

Eco4 September 2026 at 17:41

Mundicenter, a company of the Alves Ribeiro Group operating in the real estate management and promotion sector, presented a renewed visual identity, developed by the branding and design agency Peter Schmidt Group. The renewal aims to reflect the current positioning of the company, which manages shopping centers such as Amoreiras Shopping Center and Arena Shopping.

The company name remains the central element of the logo, as does green, a color that has accompanied the brand for a long time and continues to play a prominent role in its visual expression.

The company explained that the change represents the natural evolution of a brand with more than four decades of history, which continues to follow new ways of communicating and the transformation of the spaces that make up its portfolio.

The transformation also extends to the digital presence, with the launch of a new institutional website.

Family recovered illegally occupied house but was forced to leave by police: authorities returned property to 'squatters'

In Girona, Spain, a family recovered their illegally occupied house, but was forced by police to leave and return the property to the 'squatters'. The occupants presented a video as proof that they had already been staying in the dwelling for more than two days, and authorities interpreted the law in favor of the squatters. A specialized lawyer criticized the erroneous application of the so-called 48-hour deadline, which does not exist in the Spanish Penal Code, warning that this type of situation can drag on for months or years — on average 18.1 months to recover an occupied dwelling in Spain. The specialist advocated for legislative reform to standardize police protocols and accelerate the restitution of properties, noting that parallel strategies such as 'occupying the occupant' carry significant legal risks. The article also compares with Portuguese legislation, which since November 2025 provides for prison sentences of up to three years for illegal occupations of permanent dwellings.
