A 42-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto by the Public Security Police (PSP) of the Azores in the municipality of Lagoa, on the island of São Miguel. The arrest occurred when the individual was caught in possession of 2,786 individual doses of heroin.

The case was announced by the Regional Command of the PSP of the Azores, which did not specify the date of the arrest. After being presented to the judicial authorities, the man was placed in preventive detention.
