Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), cited in a decision a confidential intelligence report from the Federal Police that has no evidentiary value. In the decision, Moraes determines that Minister André Mendonça be investigated for alleged "evidence of crimes" in conducting inquiries under his rapporteurship, including the Master case.
According to the report, Mendonça had repeatedly stated, in meetings, the intention to remove Director-General Andrei Rodrigues from his position. The document states that the minister considers that Rodrigues maintains "inappropriate proximity" with the president of the Republic, which is why it would not be possible to trust him.
The PF report indicates that Mendonça stated he had an ongoing procedure to evaluate a possible order for the removal of the director-general. However, up to the time of the alleged meetings mentioned in the document, the minister had not pointed to any concrete facts demonstrating irregular conduct on the part of Andrei Rodrigues.
