The Government announced today support of approximately 12 million euros for Douro winegrowers who cannot sell their grapes in the current campaign. This measure comes in a context of difficulties faced by producers in the Duriense region.
The support aims to compensate winegrowers affected by the impossibility of commercializing grape production in the Douro region. The region is known for the production of Port wine and other quality wines.
Douro winegrowers now have to wait for developments and the concrete implementation of this financial support measure announced by the Executive.
