The Portuguese Government has begun final negotiations with the two candidates for TAP's privatization, the airline carriers Air France-KLM and Lufthansa. The announcement was made by the Minister of the Presidency, who revealed that the offers from both companies present a very similar overall evaluation.
This proximity in evaluations justifies a negotiation effort on the part of the Executive, with the objective of obtaining improved proposals from both competitors. The Portuguese authorities intend to ensure the best possible conditions in the sale of the state airline.
