Government supports with 12 million for grape sales in the Douro

The Government approved a 12 million euro support for wine growers in the Douro region. This measure is intended to help producers who face difficulties in selling grapes.

The support aims to compensate wine growers affected by problems in the commercialization of grape production in the demarcated Douro region. This is an area traditionally known for the production of Port wine and other quality wines.

The Executive also guarantees that in the future a specific fund will be created to help manage fluctuations in the wine market. This measure aims to provide greater stability for producers in the long term.

The Government's intervention comes at a time of difficulties for the wine sector in the Douro, where producers face challenges related to the market and the commercialization of their products.
