Fuel prices will increase considerably next week due to the escalation in oil prices recorded this week. Gasoline will rise by 8.5 cents per liter and diesel will increase by 10.5 cents per liter.
The Government decided to reinforce the reduction in the rate of the Tax on Petroleum Products to mitigate the impact on consumers. This tax reduction will allow alleviating by about 3 cents the price per liter of fuel.
Thus, despite the significant rise in prices, the Executive's intervention through the ISP aims to partially compensate for the increase that would be felt by consumers at the fuel pumps.
