Onda launches a €173,000 plan to prevent business closures and facilitate generational turnover

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General4 September 2026 at 13:11

The Onda City Council approved the hiring of a mentoring program for local commerce, with a budget of 172,800 euros and a duration of three years. The plan aims to prevent establishments from closing due to lack of generational succession and allow new businesses to open.

The municipality made this decision to directly support local commerce, recognizing that many businesses face the risk of closure when there is no family or business succession.

The mentoring program will aim to guide and accompany local merchants, help them in the transition, and facilitate the transfer of businesses to new generations of entrepreneurs.

With this investment of almost 173,000 euros, the council intends to boost the local economy and guarantee the continuity of commercial activities in the municipality.
