The Public Security Police arrested a 17-year-old youth in the town of Forte da Casa, in the district of Setúbal, on suspicion of drug trafficking. The arrest occurred after the young man's mother had filed a report with the authorities.
The minor was caught not only for being in possession of drugs, but also for assaults committed against his own mother. The mother is believed to have been the person who alerted the PSP to the situation, resulting in police intervention.
The youth was intercepted by authorities in the area of Forte da Casa, where evidence of criminal activity was found. The security forces proceeded with the arrest of the minor, who was then subject to the legal measures applicable to minors.
