The AVA Clinic, in Lisbon, agreed to receive the gametes and cryopreserved embryos that were stored at OvomCare, a medically assisted reproduction clinic that suddenly closed in Cascais. The decision was announced by the National Council for Medically Assisted Reproduction.

The transfer of genetic material to AVA Clinic aims to guarantee the continuity of fertility treatments for patients affected by the unexpected closure of the Cascais clinic.

The National Council for Medically Assisted Reproduction coordinated the transfer process to ensure that patients' rights and the safety of biological material were preserved during the transition.
