87 million euro real estate investment arrives in Portugal to build 245 homes

SAPO Notícias4 September 2026 at 11:17

A new real estate developer with Israeli-European capital is preparing an investment of approximately 87 million euros in Portugal. This amount will be destined for the development of three residential projects that will total 245 homes.

The projects are located in three distinct areas of the country: Sintra, Vila Nova de Gaia, and Viana do Castelo. Each of these locations will receive a set of homes within this investment plan.

The operation represents a significant movement in the Portuguese real estate sector, demonstrating the interest of international investors in the country's housing market. With this investment, the developer hopes to contribute to the housing supply in these three regions.

Talked-about intersection on International Drive could get new look with luxury promenade

Orange County, Florida, is in advanced negotiations to make the I-Drive Promenade project viable, which aims to redesign the intersection of International Drive and Sand Lake Road in Orlando. The estimated investment is $19.4 million through a public-private partnership, led by businessman Joshua Wallack. The project includes wider sidewalks, landscaping, fountains, public spaces, and art, as well as relocation of underground infrastructure. The Wallack family will donate approximately 25,332 square feet of land to the county. The promenade will complement an already-approved elevated pedestrian bridge ($35 million), given that the intersection recorded 661 accidents between 2017 and 2022. If approved, construction is expected to begin in early 2028 and finish in the third quarter of 2029.
