Mafra Town Hall begins construction of the Ecological Park

Observador4 September 2026 at 12:57

The Mafra Municipal Council has begun construction of the Ecological Park, with the work currently in the "initiation" phase. The information was provided by the municipality, which confirmed the start of the work after the completion of archaeological studies in the area.

The main objective of the project is to promote the ecological restoration of the area surrounding Forte Milreu, a historical heritage site located in the municipality. This intervention is part of an effort to enhance the environmental and heritage value of the region.

The archaeological work was necessary before the start of construction, which delayed the beginning of the work. With its completion, the municipality has finally moved forward with the implementation of the park, which promises to transform the area into a space for environmental recovery.

INCC: Those who paid off a property during construction may have amounts to recover

Buyers who paid off off-plan properties may be entitled to recover significant amounts if the National Construction Cost Index (INCC) was incorrectly applied during the contract term. According to experts, contract review can identify incorrect charges even after keys are handed over, with differences that can reach tens of thousands of reais. Law No. 10,931/2004 establishes that monthly INCC adjustments are only valid in contracts with a minimum commercialization period of 36 months, and irregularities occur when developers set a final installment with a negligible value merely to formally extend the contract term.

Talked-about intersection on International Drive could get new look with luxury promenade

Orange County, Florida, is in advanced negotiations to make the I-Drive Promenade project viable, which aims to redesign the intersection of International Drive and Sand Lake Road in Orlando. The estimated investment is $19.4 million through a public-private partnership, led by businessman Joshua Wallack. The project includes wider sidewalks, landscaping, fountains, public spaces, and art, as well as relocation of underground infrastructure. The Wallack family will donate approximately 25,332 square feet of land to the county. The promenade will complement an already-approved elevated pedestrian bridge ($35 million), given that the intersection recorded 661 accidents between 2017 and 2022. If approved, construction is expected to begin in early 2028 and finish in the third quarter of 2029.
