Aralab, a Portuguese company specialized in the development of climate control and testing solutions for scientific and industrial applications, announced the acquisition of 100% of Alphatech, a British company in the same sector. This operation is part of the Portuguese company's international expansion strategy and marks Aralab's direct entry into the United Kingdom, considered one of the largest world markets for climatic chambers.
With this acquisition, Aralab expects to close the year 2026 with a turnover of 25 million euros. The operation will allow deepening the relationship with British customers, benefiting from Alphatech's local knowledge and the growing demand for advanced environmental testing and validation solutions. The company is also reinforcing its capacity for after-sales service and technical support provision.
Aralab's CEO, Luís Branco, stated that the acquisition represents a milestone in the company's international growth strategy, allowing reinforcing proximity to customers, consolidating local response capacity, and accelerating the development of new business opportunities. The executive added that this is a natural step in achieving the vision of sustained growth through international expansion.
In March 2026, Aralab, in partnership with the German Memmert, had already acquired 51% of Newtronic, an Indian manufacturer of environmental testing equipment with more than 45 years of activity. Since 2024, the two companies have been collaborating in the Chinese market and, since 2025, in the United States, thus reinforcing their joint presence in Asian markets.
