Mossos d'Esquadra confirmed the arrest, on Thursday, of a woman allegedly related to the death of a baby who was found dead inside a bag in a building in La Mina, in Sant Adrià de Besòs. The woman was arrested on the same day that the newborn's body was discovered by the authorities.

Sources consulted by EL PERIÓDICO specified that the detained woman is the mother of the abandoned infant. The same sources added that the woman is 33 years old.

The baby was found inside a travel bag in a building located in the La Mina neighborhood, belonging to the municipality of Sant Adrià de Besòs, in the province of Barcelona. The case occurred in the Barcelona metropolitan area.
